MagneGas signs distributor agreement with Holston Gases

Magnegas Corporation has announced the signing of an agreement with Holston Gases of Tennessee, US in which Holston will now be distributing the MagneGas2® fuel for metal cutting applications as an alternative to acetylene.

MagneGas has been working with Holston for almost one year, with multiple meetings and demonstrations completed as part of the Holston due diligence process.

Now this relationship has been firmed up with a distribution agreement that sees the MagneGas2 fuel take another step forward in the market.

Knoxville-based Holston Gases on Friday completed the acquisition of Doc Retail Inc, a division of Dearybury Oil and Gas, which operates in Cowpens, S.C. Holston Gases will merge the operation into its current facility in Spartanburg, S.C.

“We are very pleased to add the Doc Retail Inc. employees and customers into our organization,” Holston Gases president Robert Anders said in a news release. “This is a perfect fit and allows Holston to add residential and commercial propane into our already broad product offering.”

Holston Gases is a regional distributor of industrial, medical, and propane gases as well as welding, safety, and industrial supplies.

It benefits The Hope for Women organization that helps abused women and their children with food and shelter for Walker County. The tree was decorated by  Elaine Blackwood and the miniature propane tank was fabricated by Dustin New. Steve Mason, the branch manager at the Jasper location, said “It was awesome seeing our team working on this community project together.”
