Holston Gases joins the Independent Welding Distributors Cooperative effective September 1, 2013
Indianapolis, IN — August 29, 2013 – The IWDC is proud to announce the addition of Holston Gases to its membership. Holston Gases is one of the largest independent suppliers of industrial, medical, propane, and beverage gases in the United States while also offering a full line of welding products including safety and industrial supplies. Headquartered in Knoxville, Tn., Holston has grown to 23 locations in 5 states: Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, Virginia and North Carolina also serving customers in nearby Georgia, South Carolina, Ohio, and Indiana.
Holston Gases has been family owned and operated for over 50 years. “They are locally managed and locally committed; two of the cornerstones of any IWDC Member”, says Frank Kasnick, IWDC President & C.E.O.. “When we evaluated joining IWDC and explored their programs it was important for us to retain our local decision making. IWDC’s structure allows for that approach while still providing significant value” states Robert Anders, President of Holston Gases.
The IWDC is a cooperative, formed in 1994, which leverages the strengths of its independent welding distributor members across North America. IWDC Member companies collectively represent over $2B in sales, serving a wide range of industries. The common denominator is that these industries look to them for industrial, specialty, and medical gases as well as related equipment, hard goods, and consumables. End-use customers served by IWDC Members benefit from having the unparalleled expertise of a local Member distributor who has access to national-scale purchasing and marketing programs.
